We advise those students who wish to come to Costa Rica and take part in any of our programs to confirm transferability of credits with their home institution before applying.
All international students whose mother tongue is other than Spanish must take an on-line Spanish language assessment test that will be provided by the Global Education Office at the moment of their application; regardless of the courses they are going to take (English or Spanish). This information is valuable for ULACIT academic advisors when insuring international visiting students have the necessary proficiency level in the language needed for their courses of choice and/or to provide the necessary assistance/academic counseling during their stay.
International students who successfully fulfill all the admission and course requirements will be accepted in the Academic Cultural Exchange (ACE) program and receive course credit. Course syllabi are made available to all participants during the admission process upon request.
Please note that the transfer of credits to your program is done on an individual basis and, if required, students should request authorization from their respective home institution prior to enrolling in our study-abroad programs. International students should comply with both universities' terms/policies, and visa requirements (home and host university) before coming to study at ULACIT.
Application to the ACE program requires participants to carefully read, fill out and sign the forms available in the section apply online. All applicants must attach the requested documentation specified in the forms and send them all together to our academic advisors before the school deadlines.
Contact the Global Education Office at firstname.lastname@example.org for credit transfer questions or special requests from your university.
